Terms of use
This is decision support. It is not advice.
Using the check means you accept that its output is a completeness reading of the facts you typed, produced by published rules, and that no one here is your accountant, your attorney, or your preparer.
What we are not
We are not a certified public accountant, an enrolled agent, or a law firm. We do not prepare, sign, transmit, or file any return. We do not file state annual reports or pay franchise tax. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a licensed professional who has your actual documents in front of them.
The full list of what this product refuses to become is published at what we will not do. It is part of these terms.
What a finding means
Every finding names the rule that produced it, the version of that rule, and the sources it cites, with the date each source was retrieved. A finding is true of the facts you entered, on the date you entered them, under the rule version shown. Change a fact, or let the law move, and the finding is stale. Every finding carries the flag professional review required, and we mean it.
The check can tell you your record is not ready, or that it is complete enough for a preparer to work from. It cannot and will not tell you that your tax position is fine.
Your responsibility
The facts are yours. A wrong answer produces a wrong finding, and the rule cannot know. Deadlines, penalties, and filings remain yours whether or not the check mentioned them.
The rules themselves
The engine is @creytix/tax-rules, a Creytix product. Its sources are public IRS and Secretary of State pages, each cited with a retrieval date. Rules are versioned; a version, once published, is not edited in place.
Liability, law, changes
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Expedia Solutions LLC is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a finding. These terms are governed by the law of Wyoming. [TODO: liability cap and venue, confirmed by counsel] We may change these terms; the date below moves when we do. Current as of .
